Topic: How to design and build a robot
A presentation of how to design and build a robot that negotiated a
simulated polar environment, including crossing chasms, retrieving
core samples, pulling a sled, and pushing a button to deliver a
sample. Kyle & Sonduong will bring a sample robot, and discuss the construction
and programming of the robot, and discuss an upcoming robot
competition for which he has formed a team and expects to
compete.
We may also see some of the video of the past competition at OSU.

Columbus, Ohio – The Linux community continues to
move in new and diverse directions while building
a successful momentum each new year. Credit for
some of that momentum goes to those community
members that advocate about and to the community.
Ohio LinuxFest is proud to recognize two such
community members by announcing Joe 'Zonker'
Brockmeier and Jono Bacon as keynote speakers for
this year's
Ohio LinuxFest occurring October 10th - 11th.

Ubuntu 8.04.1 LTS has been released:
The Ubuntu team is proud to announce the release of Ubuntu 8.04.1 LTS, the first maintenance update to Ubuntu's 8.04 LTS release.
In all, over 200 updates have been integrated, and updated installation media has been provided so that fewer updates will need to be downloaded
after installation. These include security updates and corrections for other high-impact bugs, with a focus on maintaining stability and compatibility
with Ubuntu 8.04 LTS.

The Central Ohio SharePoint User Group (www.COSPUG.org) is a
Microsoft-sponsored community group that
comes together to explore
SharePoint and the applications that work with SharePoint. The user
group is targeted towards
end users, administrators, implementers,
developers, and anyone who likes to learn about emerging technology.

Everyone who attends the user group meeting, no matter

What:
The Family History Jamboree is an all day event designed to promote Family History
activities among the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with an open
invitation to the public. The attendee may select up to six one hour classes out of a list of
about 20. They range from the beginner level to the more advanced topics. Space is limited
and advance registration is requested.
